ABOUT SACR
The Southern Arizona Coalition for Resilience is a diverse group of community-based, educational, and governmental organizations working in the areas of community services, higher education, entrepreneurship, local government, and economic and workforce development. What they have in common is what brings them together: a desire to build resilience in Southern Arizona.
WHY WE DO OUR WORK
Climate change, a rapidly evolving economy, and limited equity & access pose major, ongoing challenges to the well-being of our region. We recognize that to make significant progress against these challenges we must work together, in creative and innovative ways, to leverage our perspectives and resources to build a strong community.
Our approach to building that resiliency is rooted in the understanding that it cannot be business as usual. We recognize the need to be both proactive -finding new ways of doing, and reactive -able to adapt to sudden or unavoidable changes to be successful.
